Kathey Porter, MBA, MSE, CPSD is a small business strategist, sought after subject matter expert and frequent speaker, panelist and workshop facilitator at conferences and events focusing on supplier diversity, small business development/entrepreneurship, women’s entrepreneurship and empowerment and diversity and inclusion for audiences at EY, Interise, Inc Magazine’s Inc 5000, ESSENCE Festival, The Conference Board, MBDA and US Department of Transportation, to name a few.
As an adjunct business instructor, Kathey has spent nearly two decades teaching various undergraduate and graduate courses including Leadership, Professional Writing, Marketing, Public Relations, Intro to Business, Management, Entrepreneurship, and Communications at several universities and colleges.
The author of two business books, Kathey has been featured in numerous media outlets and podcasts including OPEN Forum (American Express), Black Enterprise, The Huffington Post, Sirius XM, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Ebony and was the featured small business expert in ESSENCE magazine.
Kathey is the founder of two companies, BusinessFAB® Media and Porter Brown Associates, a veteran-owned, woman-owned management and professional services consultancy, with clients and partnerships across numerous industries including the federal government, corporations, higher education institutions, K-12 and hospitals.
Kathey received her MBA from Georgia Southern University and is a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship (Candidate) at the University of Florida. She received her Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity credentials through the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) and is the Founder, Instructional Designer and Facilitator of the Supplier Diversity Training Institute, a professional leadership and development program for supplier diversity and procurement professionals at the University of Central Florida.
